A bow dominating the Viaur valley

Created in 1290, Pampelonne was a Royal Bastide in the 13th century. From this ancestral era, the square square specific to the bastides and a corner tower in the heart of the village remain. Sailing at the bow of the meander dominating the Viaur valley, this place remained impregnable for a long time, before falling to the hands of the English, who also occupied the village of Planques of which only a footbridge and the chapel overlooking the Viaur remain, dating from the 12th century and 13th century. At the foot of Pampelonne, stands, austere and majestic, the keep of Thuriès castle. The origins of this castle are lost in the mists of time. You will discover these gems during your stay, and can also hike to discover the medieval bridges and mills of the valley.

Also discover 35 minutes away: Albi, a UNESCO world heritage site, Cordes sur Ciel, the famous bastide bordering the thousand-year-old Gaillac vineyard. In 20 minutes, the picturesque villages of Monestiès or Sauveterre de Rouergue.

**The Cottage**

Independent gîte very close to the owners' house, overlooking the street on one side and the owners' garden on the other. It also benefits from its own enclosed garden, not overlooked. Benefit from local village shops on foot!

Ground floor: kitchen (induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, kettle, toaster, refrigerator with freezer compartment), living/dining room with sofas, TV. Adjoining the kitchen: toilet, laundry room with washing machine.

Upstairs, three bedrooms with a 140x190 bed each, bathroom, toilet. Baby equipment.

The living room opens onto the terrace with enclosed garden. Barbecue, garden furniture.

The owners give you access to their secure parking (next to the garden).

Possibility to rent sheets, towels, end-of-stay cleaning service.
