All-round well-being - that's what the "Ferienhaus Arne" in Steinheid, a district of Neuhaus am Rennweg, stands for. Here on the ridge of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, the holiday home, which was renovated in 2019, awaits you in the middle of the picturesque landscape of the Thuringian Forest.

Haus Arne is comfortably furnished on two floors with an adventure bathroom on the ground floor. Here you will find pure relaxation in the steam bath or in the luxurious whirlpool tub. After an extensive bath, you will find an ideal resting place in front of the Smart TV on the spacious couch in the neighbouring living room. The elegant and comfortably equipped kitchenette is located in the other part of the large, open-plan room. The open natural plot will be converted into an enclosed garden from around summer 2020.

The upper floor offers three bedrooms. Bedroom 3 has an additional sofa bed as an alternative sleeping option. Whether a large family with grandma and grandad or a group of friends, there is enough space for everyone. In the quiet hours of the day, you can hear the gentle rustling of the typical slate-roofed façade.

Steinheid is the starting point for many well-known hiking destinations around the Rennsteig. There is an extensive network of trails not only for walking but also for mountain biking. The Rennsteig cycle path offers rewarding views for ambitious cyclists. Steinheid is a snow-sure resort in winter. The famous Silbersattel ski arena is only 7 kilometres away and is Thuringia's largest alpine ski area. Whether it's a speedy downhill run or cross-country skiing in the beautiful Thuringian Forest, the 4.5 kilometres of pistes on 8 routes with all levels of difficulty, children's area, freeride area and 35 km of cross-country ski trails and ski hiking trails make the heart of every active sports enthusiast beat faster.

Nearby Oberhof or the cities of Erfurt, Weimar, Jena and Coburg also offer a variety of sights as a starting point for day trips.
