The vacation home in Oberaula, Hesse, is furnished in a cozy country house style, both homely and practical. The ground-level house is particularly suitable for a vacation with children. The rural surroundings are a great place to unwind.

The vacation park AULATAL is embedded by forests and fields at the foot of the Eisenberg in the Knüllgebirge. The vacation park offers wonderful relaxation and recreation in the climatic health resort Oberaula-Hausen. Here in the "Rotkäppchenland", the home of the Brothers Grimm, there are many interesting things to explore. The festival town of Bad Hersfeld with its spa gardens deserves special mention. For motorcycle riders there are four great tours for which maps are available on site.

Sporting activities are offered by the surrounding area according to your heart's desire, for example a direct connection to the ?Rotkäppchen-Bahnradweg?: which can be ridden by bike or e-bike. Hikers will find many signposted hiking trails and extensive maps. Guided hikes are also offered, for example to the Knüllhöpfen or the Eisenberg with observation tower.

The very attractive 18-hole golf course from the Kurhessen Golf Club is only 1,000 meters away. There is a discount on the green fee for guests of the vacation home. Training sessions are also available.

The outdoor swimming pool in summer is 1.5 km away and the bathing lake in Seepark Kirchheim with water skiing facilities as well as gastronomic offers is 5 km away. From September to April the indoor swimming pool with sauna in Bad Hersfeld ?AquaFit? is open. Fishing is possible at various lakes. The Oberaula tennis club and the soccer club are happy to offer their facilities to guests. Segway time in the Rotkäppenland is available from May to September. Canoeing on the Fulda and play adventures in the Jahnpark are great experiences.

Skiing opportunities with cross-country trails and ski lift are offered by the Wasserkuppe, Hesse's highest mountain, which can be reached in about 1 hour.

All shopping facilities, restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, as well as a baker and butcher are about 2 km from the house.

In the wildlife park Knüll, 30 km away, live wolves, bears and wild horses, the information center gives interesting information about the region. About an hour away are the Edersee and Waldeck Castle, Kassel with the World Heritage Hercules and the Grimm World, the Wasserkuppe and the Rhön High Road, Wartburg Castle and the Hainich, the cathedral city of Fulda and about an hour and a half the Main metropolis Frankfurt.
